Water enclosed in the hollow jacket
, which cover

two-thirds of the kettle body,
is heated by the burners and turns into steam, allowing for an approximate temperature range from 150-295 degrees F.

Safety tilt cut-off feature shuts heat off if the body tilts past 12 degrees
Gas supply automatically shuts off when the body is tilted
