If you buy a Blodgett, Vulcan, Market Forge or Southbend jacketed kettle you are buying a kettle built by Crown (GLT-60). Their products have earned their reputation for ease of operation, high performance and long lasting reliability. All Crown equipment is designed and built to be used by the professional chef in high demand environments all day - every day.
This high performance kettle would be a perfect choice for any high demand restaurant, institutional kitchen or a large catering operation. Steam jacketed kettles are non-scorching and are perfect for Soup Du Jour, stock, jams, re-fried beans, salsa, Mac N Cheese, fudge, Artisan candies etc – I've even sold one of these to a company making lip balm. The 60 gallon tilt kettle is for ultra high production and delivers a lot of product in a short amount of time.
What we know...
Like everything we offer, this beautiful kettle came from a government agency. The kettle went to a small school location and was way to large for what they needed. These day, schools don't really cook anything for their lunch program. The school systems now serve warmed-up, pre-made products and don't any longer have a need for a big kettle.
This kettle has not been re-conditioned. It is in new condition simply because it was never really used. We honestly don't know if it was ever fired up as we can't find any signs of use.
Please take a minute to enlarge the pictures to get a close-up view of this beautiful kettle. It operates as you would expect a new kettle to work. The jacket water as you can see is clean and clear and the gauge holds a solid -20 when not in use. The inside of the kettle is flawless with that sort of stainless grain finish you only find with new equipment. There are no circuit boards that may pop and smoke, leaving you unable to produce.
This Energy Star rated kettle uses forced air just like a diesel or jet engine does to create a hotter flame while using less gas.
Overall footprint - 60"w x 45"d  Requires one, 110 volt connection. Currently, the kettle is set up for natural gas however if you need it to be set up for propane we will do the for you at no charge.
